Organisers of the Tandragee 100 road race have said this year's meeting will not take place due to the "economic climate and other circumstances beyond our control".
The race was due to take place on May 1 this year but has been cancelled. It is believed the North Armagh Club is hoping to run the event, which celebrated its 50th birthday last year, in 2011.
A statement from the club reads: "Due to the current economic climate and circumstances beyond our control, the North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club Ltd have, with regret, taken the decision to defer the Tandragee 100 national road race for one year.
"The club has every intention to the run the race again in 2011. The club would like to extend grateful thanks to our sponsors and landowners for their continued support."
Legendary roads man Martin Finnegan lost his life at the circuit in 2008, a year after John Donnan was killed which prompted the local coroner to call for improvements in road racing events.
