Bahattin Sofuoglu joins the Yamaha Thailand Racing Team for the final two rounds of the 2024 World Supersport season.

After leaving the MV Agusta Reparto Corse Team, Bahattin Sofuoglu has reached a deal to ride for the Yamaha Thailand Racing Team in the final two World Supersport rounds of the 2024 season.

The Turkish rider had spent three years with MV Agusta in World Supersport. However, after a difficult 2024 season, he decided to part ways with the team before the end of the season.

In the final two World Supersport rounds at Estoril and Jerez Sofuoglu will feature on the grid in Yamaha blue. The 21-year-old is 13th in the 2024 World Supersport standings on 82 points.

Sofuoglu said: "We will continue with, Yamaha Thailand Team in the last two rounds of the season. Thanks to Kenan Sofuoglu, Yamaha, Jules Cluzel, Alpinestars and Team."

Sofuoglu will partner with Thai rider Krittapat Keankum for the final four races of the year. Anupab Sarmoon will be replaced by Sofuoglu after he suffered an injury at MotorLand Aragon.
