Has a social media post revealed more news surrounding Michael Laverty's expansion of the MLav Racing Team?
Further preparations have taken place ahead of Michael Laverty's MLav Racing Team's debut at the 2025 Isle of Man TT.
The former MotoGP and British Superbike rider announced that his MLav Racing Team would be entering the Isle of Man TT and North West 200 this year.
The announcement was unofficial and came during TNT Sports coverage of the Argentine Grand Prix after Neil Hodgson spoke about it on air.
The MLav Racing Team will field 17-time TT winner Ian Hutchinson, as well as double podium finisher Mike Browne, on the roads on BMW machinery this year.
Despite no official announcement being made, the team are hard at work preparing for their debut.
Recently, Charles Hurst Motorrad in Belfast posted on its social media channels that Michael Laverty’s brother John Laverty has collected two of the M1000RRs the team will race this year.
The post says: "The 2025 Race season is imminent!
"John Laverty collected the first two of four 2025 BMW M1000RR’s on behalf of brother Michael ( M Lav Racing) ahead of their BSB & Road’s campaign."
The post also happens to mention a British Superbike campaign, but there are no further details regarding this.
Hutchinson competed at the TT last year with the Padgetts Racing team, but the 2024 TT was tough for him, as he managed a best of 12th in the Senior TT.
Browne has been a promising rider in recent years at road racing events and scored a podium in the Supertwin class last year on an Aprilia, he set the fastest ever lap for the brand on his way to a top-six finish in the Senior TT.
