Storm Stacey is open to making his North West 200 in the future after he takes care of 'unfinished business' in British Superbikes.

British Superbike rider Storm Stacey believes it is 'possible' that he will compete at the North West 200 in the future.

Stacey has described the North West 200 as an event that 'takes my eye'. The 22-year-old is at the North West 200 to support his Batham's Racing boss, Michael Rutter, who is competing at the event.

Rutter is a 14-time winner at the North West 200 and will be competing in the Superbike and Supertwin classes across the week.

Stacey is keen on road racing and believes he could one day make his debut in the paddock. But has stated that he would never ride at the Isle of Man TT as he 'always promised' his late father that he would never race at the Isle of Man.

"It’s my second time here," Stacey told BBC Sport on Thursday morning at the North West.

"It’s a hell of an event, isn't it? Probably get over to the TT as well and watch that.

"With having Michael [as my boss], I’ve got to come and support him, come and watch him.

"BMW have looked after me for coming here as well. I’d be rude not to come, to be honest.

"I really like it; it’s something that takes my eye. I always promised my late father that I would never do the TT.

"But he didn’t say [all] road racing. It’s just mega."

When asked if the North West 200 was on his radar, he said: "Possibly. I’ve got plenty of time. I’ve got unfinished business in BSB. I know what I want to achieve there. I’ve just got to make it happen."

After the opening round of the British Superbike Championship, Stacey finds himself fifth in the Championship standings after debuting on the BMW M1000RR.
