Pedro Acosta will take things easy at the French Grand Prix after recently undergoing arm pump surgery.
Ahead of the French Grand Prix, Pedro Acosta had to undergo surgery on his right forearm to fix the arm pump that he has been suffering from.
The Spaniard has been declared to participate in the sixth Grand Prix weekend of the season despite the short time between his surgery at the Grand Prix.
On Thursday, during his media duties, Acosta revealed that the surgery and his recovery have been successful.
"Well, I am good to be honest," Acosta told MotoGP.com ahead of the French Grand Prix.
"It looks like it was a successful surgery, and a successful recovery also. Everything went well with this, so we need to be happy."
Acosta's 2025 MotoGP season has not been the easiest as he has failed to score points in three Grands Prix and two Sprint Races. However, he is refusing to use the arm pump as a reason for his recent form.
"I mean it had not been easy to ride like this, but we cannot put all the blame on this problem," Acosta explained.
"It is also true that I went from finishing with little pain to really suffering to even opening my hand. It has not been easy to race like this, but now it is done, it is something we can take out of the question box."
In the past, Acosta has been fast at Le Mans, but has not been lucky during the races. Across his four visits to the French circuit in the Grand Prix paddock, he has only finished a Grand Prix and a Sprint Race.
The last time the 20-year-old finished a French Grand Prix was in 2021 when he was in the Moto3 Championship, and he crossed the line in eighth.
"We were quite competitive at the Jerez Test, and I have always been fast at Le Mans," Acosta said.
"I have not always had the best luck here, let's take it easy, we do not want to make any mess where the stitches are still in my arm. We will take it easy."
