The opening race of the weekend at Donington Park saw Chloe Jones and GR Motosport feature on the podium.

In the third round of the 2025 FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship, Chloe Jones and the GR Motosport squad featured on the podium at their home round.

The 21-year-old had been having a promising start to her debut season as she finished inside the top ten in three of the opening four races.

However, a weekend at Donington Park for the United Kingdom Round had the potential of a standout round for the British team and rider.

Jones qualified in fifth place on the grid on Friday, and after battling with Maria Herrera, Beatriz Neila, and Sara Sanchez, she was able to finish in third place in the opening race of the weekend.

Jones said: "Standing on my first World Championship podium was an unforgettable moment. After knocking 1.5 seconds off my qualifying time, I knew I had the pace, but the real challenge came in the race itself. It was a battle from start to finish, trading moves and pushing the limits alongside some of the best in the world.

"The energy from the crowd was electric-fans waving flags, cheering every lap—it gave me an extra boost when I needed it most. None of this would've been possible without the unwavering support of my team; their belief and hard work."

Brent commented: "It’s fantastic that our first WorldWCR podium came at our home round here at Donington, 26 years after our iconic Orange and black livery won our first race in the inaugural European Superstock Championship with Karl Harris.

"Today was special because my team put a great package together and Chloe got stuck in. It was a great race and a deserved result!"
