Reports suggest Scott Redding and MGM Bonovo have parted ways

Gold & Goose

The latest reports from the World Superbike paddock suggest that Scott Redding will part ways with MGM Bonovo.

At the start of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Scott Redding joined Michael Galinski's MGM Bonovo Ducati squad to make a return to the Panigale V4 R.

However, after a difficult start to the season, Speedweek.com have reported that Redding and MGM will be parting ways ahead of the next World Superbike Round in Hungary.

The German media outlet has stated that a meeting was held at the United Kingdom World Superbike Round between Galinski, Redding, his manager, and a team sponsor.

Before the two parties can reach a termination agreement, much be reached between Galinski and Redding to settle their financial agreements from this season.

Recently, Redding has discussed his future and said: "A factory team won't consider me; they'll go for younger riders, riders from the MotoGP or Moto2 World Championship. I understand that; I was that guy many years ago.

"Satellite teams barely have the money to pay their riders. And if they do pay them, is it really worth it, considering all the travelling? I'd like to stay in the World Championship, but the chances are very slim that I'll find a combination of a good bike and a salary that I consider respectable and fair.

"If I go back to the BSB, I'll be a star there because I've already been champion. The fans enjoy having me there, the races are good, and I'm someone. That makes negotiations easier regarding the long-term direction of my career.

"That's better than staying in the World Championship for another two years and losing all my money—I don't want that."

Speedweek have also suggested that Redding's decision to part ways with MGM Bonovo could result in him joining the Hager PBM Ducati squad in British Superbikes.

Redding has already raced for the team at Knockhill as a stand-in rider for the recovering Glenn Irwin. The British rider was able to finish fourth, 19th and ninth across the three races at the Scottish circuit.

Next weekend is the first Brands Hatch Round of the 2025 British Superbike season. PBM will once again need a stand-in rider, and Redding could slot straight into the team if a termination agreement is reached in time.
