The latest reports from the MotoGP and World Superbike paddocks suggest Miguel Oliveira will replace Toprak Razgatlioglu at BMW.
As it stands, Miguel Oliveira has no ride for the 2026 season after being replaced at the Prima Pramac Racing Yamaha MotoGP Team.
The Portuguese rider initially signed a 1+1-year deal with the Pramac squad, but did not meet performance levels required to remain with the squad for a second season.
Due to this, Oliveira's teammate Jack Miller will remain with Pramac, and Oliveira himself will be replaced by Toprak Razgatlioglu.
However, in recent weeks, it has become likely that Oliveira and Razgatlioglu may swap rides for the 2026 season, with the Turkish rider jumping on a Yamaha M1 and the Portuguese rider looking likely to ride a BMW M1000RR.
The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team have announced Danilo Petrucci for the 2026 World Superbike season, but has not confirmed their second rider. Michael van der Mark confirmed that he will not remain in World Superbikes next year, leaving a vacant BMW, which Oliveira is rumoured to ride.
"Yeah, I’ve said it before," Oliveira told MotoGP.com when asked if World Superbikes is an option for 2026.
"We are looking into different options, not only one, which is good. We will try to make the best decision possible for my future. Hopefully, in the upcoming weeks, we can have a clear idea.
"I said it last weekend: racing is my number one priority and what I feel I’m most capable of at the moment, even though manufacturers might like me to test for them because I'm fast and I'm still in touch with MotoGP speed.
"At the same time, it’s also a very nice link to have with the MotoGP paddock, to stay in touch with the best, the fastest bikes in the world. It’s not an easy decision."
Oliveira has won five Grands Prix during his time in MotoGP, but has not found success with Aprilia or Yamaha in recent years. It appears that the only way the Portuguese rider could remain in the Grand Prix paddock is if he took a Test Rider role with Aprilia.
