After four years of racing in World Superbikes, the Motoxracing could leave the series at the end of the season.
The Italian World Superbike squad, Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team, may leave the Championship at the end of 2025.
Motoxracing has been in the World Superbike Championship since the 2022 season, when they first debuted with Roberto Tamburini. Having since fielded, Bradley Ray, Alessandro Delbianco, Luca Bernardi, Tito Rabat, Michael Ruben Rinaldi and Bahattin Sofuoglu.
However, their 2025 campaign with Rinaldi and Sofuoglu has not been successful due to the lack of support that the team has received from Yamaha.
If no further support is received from the Japanese manufacturer for the 2026 World Superbike season, the Italian team may leave the Championship after four years.
"Motoxracing's participation in the 2026 Superbike World Championship depends primarily on potential support from Yamaha," Team Principal Sandro Carusi told Corsedimoto.
"I would be very sad to leave this category, as we have worked so hard over the years and achieved some good results, considering we are a very private team competing with two-year-old bikes. Our continued involvement is currently a big question mark."
However, Motoxracing want to continue in the Championship for 2026, and has stated that they would want to retain current World Superbike rookie, Sofuoglu. But Rinaldi was not mentioned by the Team Principal.
Carusi added: "I hope to continue in the Superbike World Championship, possibly with Bahattin Sofuoglu, who is having a strong season despite his first year. The young Turk improved race after race and gave us our best result of the season. We'll see how things develop in the coming weeks."
