Xavi Vierge and HRC will part ways at the end of the 2025 season

Honda Racing Corporation has confirmed that it will not continue with Xavi Vierge in the 2026 World Superbike Championship.

At the end of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Xavi Vierge will leave the Honda Racing Corporation.

The Spanish rider has been a part of Team Honda HRC in the World Superbike Championship since the 2022 season. Across his four years in the Championship with the Japanese manufacturer, Vierge has featured on a podium.

A statement from Honda Racing Corporation about Vierge's departure reads:

"Since joining Honda HRC in 2022, Vierge has made a valuable contribution to the WorldSBK project and the development of the CBR1000RR-R, giving his all on track and in the garage, always with his trademark smile, positive spirit, and outstanding professionalism. A regular top-ten contender, he achieved his best WorldSBK result with a podium finish at Mandalika, Indonesia, in 2023. In addition to his WorldSBK efforts, Vierge was also part of the victorious Honda line-up at the prestigious Suzuka 8 Hours in 2023.

"Honda HRC extends its sincere thanks to Xavi Vierge for his hard work throughout their four seasons together."

The 2026 World Superbike Championship will mark a fresh start for the Honda Racing Corporation, as both Vierge and Lecuona will leave the Japanese manufacturer.

Lecuona has signed for the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati squad for 2026, and it is rumoured that Vierge could sign for Team Pata GoEleven.

According to reports, Honda is set to sign Moto2 race winner, Jake Dixon, and current MotoGP rider, Somkiat Chantra, to replace their current rider line-up.
