Jack Miller will keep 'a keen eye' on Miguel Oliveira's switch to the World Superbike Championship next season.
After seven years in the MotoGP World Championship, Miguel Oliveira will leave the Grand Prix paddock and switch to World Superbikes in 2026.
The Portuguese rider competed for KTM, Aprilia and Yamaha during his time in MotoGP, but ran out of options after multiple underwhelming seasons.
Oliveira will compete for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team next season, as he will swap places with Toprak Razgatlioglu, who will head to MotoGP with the Prima Pramac Racing Yamaha squad.
With the move now confirmed, Oliveira's current MotoGP teammate, Jack Miller, has discussed his teammate's decision to move to World Superbikes, and claims he will 'be watching with a very keen eye'.
"It’s sad to see Miguel go," Miller said during the Indonesian Grand Prix weekend.
"He’s a fantastic rider and still has a fantastic level. But that’s the way it goes sometimes here. I believe he can be ultra-competitive over there.
"I will be watching with a very keen eye his transition into World Superbikes, and it will be very interesting for both him and BMW.
"I’m looking forward to seeing the combination."
Miller has faced challenging periods in the MotoGP paddock, and on multiple occasions has appeared to be on his way out of the Championship.
The Australian rider has had multiple World Superbike offers in the past, including links to Ducati, Yamaha, and Honda. The 30-year-old could be looking at a potential move to World Superbikes, once his days in MotoGP are over.
