The American Racing Team and Marcos Ramirez will not continue their partnership into the 2026 Moto2 season.
Ahead of the penultimate round of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship, the American Racing Team have announced it will not continue with Marcos Ramirez next season.
Initially, the Spaniard had signed a deal to remain with the American squad for the 2026 Moto2 season, but his time with the team will come to an end after the season finale in Valencia.
The 2025 season has been a difficult year for the American Racing Team and Ramirez, as he currently sits 14th in the Championship and has not finished a Grand Prix in the top ten since the Czech Republic Grand Prix in July.
A statement from the American Racing Team reads:
"The American Racing Team and rider Marcos Ramírez have mutually agreed to end their collaboration at the end of the 2025 season.
"The team wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Marcos Ramírez for his contribution and professionalism throughout our time together."
Eitan Butbul, Team Principal: “I’ve got so much appreciation for Marcos, he brought incredible energy, professionalism and heart when he rejoined the team in 2023. He’s one of the coolest riders we’ve ever had and will always be a part of this team’s history. We wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
It is unknown what Marcos Ramirez will now do for the 2026 Moto2 World Championship, but it is expected that he will be replaced by current ELF Marc VDS Racing Team rider Filip Salac.
