The first MV Agusta rider and team for the 2026 World Supersport Championship has been confirmed.
After losing AS Racing to Yamaha for the 2026 World Supersport Championship, MV Agusta have confirmed its first team and rider for next season.
It appears that after a rather disappointing season in 2025, Team Flembbo-Pilote Moto Production will become the main MV Agusta squad for 2026, as they have rebranded as Team Flembbo MV Agusta.
However, the team will not be looking to keep French rider Loic Arbel for the 2026 season after he ended the 2025 campaign in 34th place in the Championship with zero points to his name.
Instead, the team have signed Italian rider, Jacopo Cretaro, for the 2026 World Supersport Championship, and he will make his full-time debut on the world stage.
The Italian rider has had success in domestic Championships in the past, as he won the Spanish ESBK Superstock 600 Championship in 2024, and currently sits third in the JuniorGP Superstock Championship with a race win and two further podiums to his name.
MV Agusta's further involvement in World Supersport:
As previously mentioned, MV Agusta lost the AS Racing Team, who ran the MV Agusta Reparto Corse squad, to Yamaha for the 2026 season, and they will field Albert Arenas and Aldi Satya Mahendra.
Motozoo ME Air Racing have confirmed its involvement in the 2026 World Supersport Championship, but they have not confirmed which brand they will race with, and have recently announced that their 2025 MV Agusta F3 800 RR is up for sale.
