PBM Kawasaki World Superbike team boss Paul Bird has said he is not happy with his team's performance at the Assen World Superbike double-header yesterday and will be making some major changes before the squad lands at the Monza round.
After a creditable qualifying performance, both Tom Sykes and Joan Lascorz were given the soft tyre option to use after some advice from Pirelli which proved disastrous as they went off after eight laps and neither rider could get the hard tyre to work at the Dutch track.
"It goes without saying I'm not happy with our performance this weekend and we are looking at what went wrong. We need to learn from our mistakes and put it right as it's one of the most disappointing weekends we have had in a long time. We aim to make some major changes in time for Monza whereby I'm hoping for a vast improvement in the results all round," said Bird.
