PBM Kawasaki team boss Paul Bird has said the class A drugs found by the UK Border Agency in his race trucks at Dover were planted and those members of his team are totally innocent.
The agency has alleged quantities of drugs and a handgun were discovered in an inspection, and four members of staff were arrested and subsequently bailed.
Speaking to bikesportnews.com at Oulton Park this lunchtime, Bird said: "As far as I am aware, it has been accepted these materials were planted in the truck, most likely in the paddock as Assen.
"I believe these men are completely innocent and I do not expect any action against them by the authorities. It has, however, been an extremely difficult time for our team and Kawasaki."
