Parkalgar Honda's Sam Lowes says he is 98 per cent fit for this weekend's World Supersport clash at Monza even though it has only been two weeks since he broke his collarbone in a huge highside at Assen.
The Lincolnshire man, who spent last weekend cheering on his twin brother at Oulton British Superbikes, knocked himself out in the crash after getting spat off his CBR600RR mid-way through a race that was re-started three times.
"My collarbone is not too bad, it is getting better everyday - it is healing naturally. I am not as strong as I like, but I will be OK, I am at 98% and happy enough that we can race and push at the front this weekend," said Lowes.
"I raced at Monza in 2008 and it was awesome. Even though I have only been there once it was a good atmosphere and it is fast; I really like high-speed circuits and they suit me. I am looking forward to Monza."
