Monster Yamaha MotoGP man Cal Crutchlow is the latest MotoGP rider to confirm that he will be doing a parade lap during this year’s Isle of Man TT Races, fuelled by Monster Energy.
The Tech 3 rider has already enjoyed a successful start to his MotoGP career, finishing in 11th in Qatar and 8th in Jerez and Estoril. He currently stands 11th overall in the Championship standings with 21 points after yesterday’s race at Le Mans.
Five-time World Champion Mick Doohan, TT Rider Ian Hutchinson and fellow MotoGP rider Nicky Hayden will join him on the Arai parade lap, which is scheduled for Wednesday 8th June.
“As a resident of the Isle of Man I’m obviously aware of the importance of the TT Races. I’ve been round the course many times but I’ve never had the chance to lap on a closed road. I’m really looking forward to experiencing the mountain course close up," said Crutchlow.
