Padgett's Honda's Bruce Anstey has taken top spot in this evening's Isle of Man TT practice in both Superbike and Superstock classes but he is being chased hard by the Relentless Suzuki of Guy Martin in the big class.
Anstey and Martin, who spent a lot of time together on the roads, were only separated by seconds with the Kiwi lapping in 129.695 and the Lincolnshire Aston Martin owner going round in 129.333. Gary Johnson, who has not yet put in a flying lap, was third on a 128.452.
Yesterday's fastest man John McGuinness could only muster a 126.098 on the Superbike and then had to stop at Mountain Box on his last lap but still managed to put in a 90mph+ lap. Team-mate Keith Amor slipped off at Quarterbridge at the end of the session but was unhurt. Michael Dunlop had to retire at Ginger Hall with a mechanical but that's after he was clocked at 178.5mph past the Grandstand.
In the 600s, Cameron Donald set the pace ahead of William Dunlop and Martin with two miles per hour splitting them while in the Superstock class, Ryan Farquhar is chasing Anstey with Dan Stewart's BMW in third place.
Simon Andrews was once again the fastest newcomer and is nudging the magical 120mph mark with a 119.485.
