Manxman Conor Cummins has split with the NCT Vanfit team he joined at the start of the season and is now looking for a ride to finish the 2008 National Superstock Championship.
After a disappointing NorthWest 200 and Isle of Man TT, Cummins and the team decided the results simply weren't coming and took the decision to part amicably.
Cummins said: "“I’m really disappointed with how the season has turned out and although I managed a podium early in the year, the majority of the results haven’t what I’d hoped for. The TT has to be the biggest disappointment of my career so far and since then it’s been a real struggle to keep everything on track.
"It’s been a very unsettling time for me, which has made it difficult to stay focused on the racing side of things but I’ve kept my head down and have worked as hard as I could. Unfortunately, our fortunes haven’t improved and it just hasn’t worked out so we’ve made the decision to part company with immediate effect. I’d like to complete the season and end the year in the top ten of the Superstock Championship but, at this moment in time, I have nothing on the table so will be sitting on the sidelines until that situation changes.”
