In another of the world's worst kept secrets, Sterilgarda Ducati have finally announced they will line European Superstock rider Alex Polita up with recent-signing Shane Byrne.

Polita, who is already with the squad, completes another WSB team although the Italian will know which way most of the tracks go as he raced them this year and did a season in WSB two years ago.

"I’m really happy for the chance given me. I will go back to Superbike in a excellent form and I hope to have the opportunity to express all my potential," said Polita.

"I know it will be very hard to replace Max and Ruben but I’m not scared by that. My team-mate is a great rider and I will learn a lot from him. I’m burning to start this new adventure, although I need to still focus my efforts on winning my second Superstock 1000 title."
