RACE OF THE YEAR: SYKES' LAST RACE FOR RIZLA SUZUKI

Rizla Suzuki's Tom Sykes will make his final appearance for the team at Mallory Park's Race of the Year this weekend, and it will also be the squad's swansong meeting.

The team lost its Rizla backing earlier this week and will only field Sylvain Guintoli in a one-rider outfit next season. Sykes is aiming to make it three victories in a row for the team at the annual event, keeping the silverware in the Suzuki berth for another year. It is very much the end of an era but the boys in blue are determined to go out on a high at Mallory Park this weekend so don’t miss it.

STP Motorsport's Chris Burns will switch to the Co-ordit Yamaha team for the race. Burns who has had a lacklustre season aboard the STP MV Agusta is hoping that this final outing of the year on the Co-Ordit Yamaha will yield a strong result for him and put him in the shop window for next season.
