Yamaha British Superbike rider Karl Harris is a last-minute addition the Race of the Year line-up at Mallory Park tomorrow.
The triple British Supersport Champion will be taking up the Co-Ordit Yamaha ride which has been vacated by Chris Burns. Harris has had a tough season in British Superbikes with a huge amount of bad luck leaving him in the gravel on more than one occasion.
Last time out at Brands Hatch Harris was on top form heading two of the free practice sessions. However he didn’t get to race due to personal issues, so the Race of the Year is his opportunity to shine.
He will be taking the fight to another BSB regular Tom Sykes who will be making his last appearance with the Rizla Suzuki team. Sykes is moving onto Yamaha Italia World Superbike team next year so this is the final time he will race in the familiar Rizla Suzuki blue.
It is also the last time the team will race as Rizla Suzuki due to Rizla withdrawing its sponsorship.
During the lunch break track activities will continue with some demonstration laps from Loris Capirossi's 2007 MotoGP Ducati. The Ducati will be joined by a Steve Parrish original RG Suzuki.
You can purchase tickets on the gate for £18, children under 16 are free and access to the paddock and parking is of no extra cost.
Mallory Park is situated in the heart of the midlands in Leicestershire just off the A47 between Leicester and Hinckley and easily accessible from the M1, M69 or M6. For further directions, please visit www.mallorypark.co.uk.
