Former WSB and MotoGP race winner Regis Laconi has signed for the DFX WSB team and will campaign a Ducati 1098R in next year's championship.

The Frenchman, who parted company with PSG-1 Kawasaki at the end of this year, has signed a one-year deal with an option to remain with the team for 2010 if things work out.

Laconi finished runner-up to James Toseland in the 2004 season when they were both in the official Fila Ducati team.
