Mid-Antrim will host at least one short-circuit race at the Nutts Corner track alongside the 150 main event at Clough in 2009, according to race organisers.
The 150 race will return to start and finish in Clough village with a new area found to house the paddock and improved safety around the 3.6-mile circuit will bring the spectators closer to the action.
A Mid-Antrim Motor Club spokesman said: "The 2009 season starts with at least one short circuit event at the Nutts Corner venue and the club hopes to be in a position to organise events for both Clubmen and National short circuits.
"While the Nutts Corner track may be small in length, anyone who witnessed past races such as The King of The Corner will recall memorable races involving the likes of Woolsey Coulter, Michael Swann and Rodney McCurdy."
The club are organising a variety of fund-raising events including a 70s and 80s night in February next year. Click here for details.
