Step Honda's Gino Rea has bagged a provisional front-row slot for Sunday's Brno World Supersport race and would have been on pole had it not been for a late lap from Broc Parkes which saw the Aussie up his pace by three-tenths of a second.
Rea was occupying the number one slot with only a handful of minutes left to go on a 2'03.909 but Parkes, on the Motocard Kawasaki, had other ideas and lapped in 2'03.611. Veteran Ten Kate man Fabien Foret is third and only a gnats' behind Rea while David Salom, on the second Kawasaki, is fourth.
Parkalgar Honda's Sam Lowes heads row two and is half a second off the pace. The Lincolnshire man has Massimo Roccoli, Robbin Harms and Roberto Tamburini for company. Championship leader Chaz Davies is tenth while James Ellison pulled himself from 20th to 14th with his final lap.
