Relentless Suzuki's Guy Martin reversed the results from last night's big race at the Southern 100 to hold off Michael Dunlop in this evening's Total Oils Senior race by the narrowest of margins.
Martin led every lap of the race but was pushed all the way by the PBM Street Sweep Kawasaki of Dunlop, who crossed the line less than a tenth of a second behind the Lincolnshire man. Ryan Farquhar bagged the final podium spot after taking victory in the 650cc race earlier. Conor Cummins took fourth and Dan Kneen was fifth.
"I'm not a man who is ever happy with second place. No one remembers the losers so tonight's job was what we have been looking for. I got a good start and lead on every lap but Michael was close enough at the finish," said Martin.
"The one that matters is tomorrow: the Solo Championship. Tonight we just cleaned the flies off the big GSX-R and tipped some fuel into it. It's a pity about the 600 race getting stopped but we?ll get another go at it tomorrow. Yeah the job's a good 'un."
