UPDATE 13/08/2011: Mr Costello's status has been changed from critical to stable and he has been moved from intensive care to the high dependency unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Manx Grand Prix competitor and road racing regular Derek Costello remains in a critical condition following a crash during yesterday's opening National race at the Dundrod 150.

The Irishman was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and was kept under observation all night. We will update you on Mr Costello's conditions as and when more details become available.
