Parkingo Yamaha's Chaz Davies has no problem with starting tomorrow's World Supersport race from the outside of the second row at Magny-Cours after adopting a 'no risk' qualifying strategy this afternoon in France.
Barring a unforeseen problem, Davies only needs to cruise round for a handful of points tomorrow in order to pick up the championship title - his first major - so the Welshman has it all crossed he doesn't have his luck tested. Or end up in Harms' way…
“We have used these two days to prepare and be at our best for the race of tomorrow. We have a really good pace and I am quite confident to be able to fight, as I did in Imola, for the podium. In qualifying I preferred not to take risks as the second row is a good starting position. I haven’t prepared any tactics, I will only think during the race as I have a good 35 points of advantage," said Davies.
