Organisers of the Rapid Solicitors Junior Cup have set up a try-out day at Brands Hatch on February 26 for youngsters to have a go on the bikes before they commit to entering the series.
Mirroring the popular Cup events mounted at selected World Superbike rounds in 2011, the new UK series also uses Kawasaki Ninja 250R machinery and promises to deliver competitive, budget friendly racing for young, aspiring riders.
Top club Bemsee will on hand to answer questions from prospective riders aged 13 to 18 who qualify for the series. Differing only slightly from standard specification, the Ninja 250R racing machines eligible for the series will deliver a reliable competition platform that highlights rider skills over competition budget.
“This is a great way to get into racing and get noticed. With the help of the British Motorcycle Racing Club and support of Rapid Solicitors, we think this will be a refreshing series and a popular part of the British Superbike rounds it will appear at," said Kawasaki racing co-ordinator Ross Burridge.
"With a prize fund that includes a Ninja 250R or ZX-6R according to the age of the eventual series winner, the Rapid Solicitors National Junior Cup is certainly something that young racers should seriously consider.”
Those interested should contact Mike Dommett at mikedommett@hotmail.com, or Ross Burridge at rburridge@kawasaki.co.uk to arrange a test ride.
