Honda have this afternoon announced that Britain's Jonathan Rea will test the Casey Stoner's Repsol Honda at Brno tomorrow and will stand in for the reigning world champion while he recovers from his ankle injury.
The Ballyclare rider, who had a luckless day at the Moscow World Superbike round, will fly out of Russia tonight and go to the Czech Republic. He has ridden an RC213V before but never in such high-profile circumstances. It looks likely Rea will ride at Misano and Motorland Aragon, both tracks he knows. He will also test at the Spanish circuit early next month.
