World Superbike Champion-elect Max Biaggi says he has it all to lose at this weekend's Magny-Cours WSBK finale and will remain focused on the job of securing enough points to take his second production class title.
The Roman Emperor has a 30.5-point advantage over Kawasaki's Tom Sykes with 50 left on the table but is all too aware than one slips, or three as Marco Melandri well knows, could mean Sykes grabbing victory.
"I want to tackle this race like any other. I know the pressure will be high because of the current standings, but we must not lose focus because we are the ones with the most to lose. Being out front puts you in the bullseye," said Biaggi.
"Our rivals know that any weakness on our part could reopen the competition. In any case I am calm and focused as always. We've demonstrated that we can do well when we are able to take advantage of every practice session."
