PTR Honda have signed experienced South African Sheridan Morais and young Aussie Matt Davies to their 2013 World Supersport effort.
Davies won the first European Junior Cup Championship in 2011 and cut his teeth in the European Superstock 600 in 2012 and will not step up to the World stage.
Morais tested a 2012 PTR Honda last month and impressed the team with his approach and super-fast lap times that prove he can be a title challenger next year.
"I am really pleased to have signed with PTR Honda who have proved every year that they are the team to beat. This team was a "wish" to me a few years back when I had to watch World Supersport racing from back home, now it is a reality and I can not wait to take full advantage of it," he said.
"My goals for the 2013 season are high just like any other racer. After finishing sixth in my rookie season, my focus is on being a championship contender and to fight for the podium at every round."
Davies added: "I am very excited about joining PTR for my first season in World Supersport. As a rookie I could not have asked for a better team to help with my development. I will have a lot to learn but I know I will have the right people around me to help me achieve the best results. I will get my first ride on the PTR Honda on my 17th birthday and I cannot wait."
