Linfoot on hunt for ride after World Supersport letdown

Former British Superbike rider Dan Linfoot is now on the hunt for a ride in 2013 after being ousted from the MDS-RN World Supersport team at the last minute.

The Yorkshire toothpick had been slated to race alongside Fabien Foret, Kenan Sofuoglu and Florian Marino in a four-man team backed by Kawasaki but he and the young Frenchman now find themselves without a seat.

"I am so disappointed to be in this position. I joined a newly-formed team to compete in WSS with a view for 2013. Delivering two results above the team's expectations with a seventh in Portugal and third in France would be sufficient to seal the deal for next year, I had hoped" said Linfoot.

"But after several weeks of poor and misleading communication, being announced as part of a four-man WSS team with reigning champion Sofuoglu, and agreeing verbally on a deal after the Portimao race, I have now had the carpet pulled from beneath me."

Linfoot is now chasing spots in British Superbikes, but knows he has a monkey on his back. "I'm carrying a cloud over me because I've had a couple of seasons chopping and changing teams. The splits have been for completely different reasons, and in fact, all I have wanted is to find a home in a team who believe in me, and that can give me the opportunity to succeed in this sport."
