2013 NW200: Brookes 'anxious to get going'

Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes says he is anxious to get going at this year's North West 200 and isn't too worried whether it is wet or dry for the first practice tomorrow.

The Bringelly man has been for his riders' briefing today and says he will take pratice one step at a time, going out tomorrow on the Superbike to get his eye in but, like all newcomers, will have to wear the obligatory wally bib. However, Brookes has gone one step further and had it patched into his leathers (see below).

"I'm not nervous as such really, just anxious to get going. I am not all that bothered whether it is wet or dry tomorrow as I will be able to get my eye in and figure out where it is slippery or not," said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon.

"I'll use the Superbike as it is best to stick to what you know but most of all I intend to enjoy the experience and we will see what first practice brings."
