Fixi Crescent Suzuki’s Leon Camier was left feeling rather frustrated after he finished Superpole with the fifth fastest time, meaning he starts the World Superbike race tomorrow from the second row. The Kent lad is still finding some sections of the Donington Park circuit quite difficult and hopes his team will find a solution with the bike, so that the rider can aim for a podium finish.
“Superpole was a little bit frustrating to be honest, because I am struggling in the last sector a lot, and the feeling in the front is really bad so that point of breaking and turning in where I am normally really strong I am really weak, so I am frustrated. So I think if we can fix that then we have a chance of a good result tomorrow," said Camier, speaking to bikesportnews.com from the circuit.
"We have just been going over the data to see how we can improve, and we have changed quite a lot of things like engine-brake and the chassis is different, but on the rest of the track we are really good, so we need to work it out."
Camier is not letting his sessions today affect his race weekend, and with his knee injury continuing to improve he is hoping to be at the front for races one and two.
“All my starts have been pretty good in practice and we can be alright for the race, and it is nice to put myself towards the front for a change. But my knee is getting better, it lacks a bit of strength, but it is not a problem.”
