Milwaukee Yamaha's William Dunlop missed out on a podium in yesterday's second Monster Energy Supersport TT after a problem with the pitlane limiter cost him vital seconds.
The Ballymoney man was in a titanic scrap for third place with John McGuinness but lost nine seconds in the pitstops which allowed the 19-time winner to claw back enough time to make it on to the rostrum.
“I’m disappointed to have missed out on a podium for Milwaukee Yamaha. We had a bit of a problem with our pit lane limiter and I lost about nine seconds to McGuinness, which cost me a certain podium at the end. I’m looking forward now to riding the Superbike on Friday," said Dunlop.
