Kev Coghlan's DMC team have made the switch from Kawasaki to Yamaha power for this season's World Supersport title challenge, which begins at Phillip Island in a month's time.
The motors will be fettled by renowned Yamaha engine builder Marcus Eschenbacher, who has helped with powerplant development for the SMR BSB outfit among others, so he shouldn't be short of grunt.
“I am very pleased to be working for DMC for another season, our third year together and another new experience. So we will have to learn how to take the most from this new bike," said Coghlan.
"First thing will be getting up to speed on the bike as I haven’t been riding since November. I hope that by the time we head off to Australia we will already have set some respectable lap times.”
