Assen WSBK: One-bike rule scrapped for 2015?

With the announcement of next year’s World Superbike technical regulations imminent, rumours currently thundering around the Assen paddock say the one-bike rule will be scrapped in 2015 and teams will once again have two machines per rider in each garage.

It is thought teams have made representations to FIM bosses that the new raceday schedule doesn’t leave technicians enough time to repair a bike if it is badly damaged in race one to make the grid in race two. For the European rounds, Donington Park aside, there is now only roughly two hours between races.

The FIM's concession is apparently that two bikes will be allowed but one will remained unscrutineered unless it is required in race two after an accident.
