Bridgestone bosses have said that complaints from riders in the last 18 months had no bearing on their withdrawal from MotoGP at the end of next season.
In a press conference called today at Jerez, Hiroshi Yamaha explained that criticism was the best way to develop tyres and that the only reason they were leaving is there global brand expansion work is done.
“Complaints from riders and drivers in motorsport is normal life and those criticisms are very important for our further development. At least we have this season and another to come, so we will continue to do our best effort to develop the tyres,” said Yamada, speaking at Jerez.
“We have continued to develop our tyres so they fit with every rider. Bikes and rider’s styles are progressing day by day so it is a really tough task. The conditions of some circuits exceeded our expectations.”
