Tyco Suzuki’s Guy Martin only got as far as Braddan on his opening lap of practice on Monday evening, reporting an engine problem with his Superbike - crew chief Stewart Johnstone is currently in the process of stripping and rebuilding the engine.
The Lincolnshire rider did get back out on his Superstock mount although a transponder issue meant he failed to appear on the timesheets at the end of the night.
However, he completed three laps, the fastest of which was 122.7mph which is good enough for second on the early leaderboard.
