TT 2014: Cummins picks up two-minute time penalty

RAF Reserves Honda’s Conor Cummins picked a two-minute time penalty after yesterday’s RL360 Superstock TT because an illegal rear suspension component was found on his Fireblade.

The penalty dropped Ramsey’s Cummins from fourth place to 18th but he still qualifies for a silver replica.

Team manager Lee Hardy told bikepsortnews.com: “Officials pulled us up for having a wrong linkage. With all that has gone on recently, I must have overlooked it. There was never any intention to put Conor on a bike that didn’t comply with the rules. I will refund Conor the prize money he has lost.”
