Portimao WSBK: Lack of track time hampering Camier

MV Agusta’s Leon Camier has suffered from a lack of track time at Portimao’s World Superbike round as niggling problems haven’t allowed him to put in any long runs to find some setup consistency.

The former MCE British Superbike Champion hasn’t been able to find a good base from which to work at the Portugese track and some niggling bike problems have made life difficult for the Varese-based team.

“We’re just struggling a bit to be honest, the laptime isn’t coming. We’ve had a few problems over the weekend that hasn’t allowed me to get enough track time, we’ve only done short runs,” said Camier, speaking at the track.

“This means we are struggling to be consistent. At Donington, I jumped on and the bike was working and it was a good weekend. But here there have been a lot of niggles, the base setup wasn’t right, so we have had a lot of things to work on. There are a few areas we need to work on.”
