Be Wiser Ducati’s Glenn Irwin says he must be realistic about his chances at this year’s Vauxhall North West 200 but is still gunning for Superbike wins as he makes his debut on the big bike.

Irwin didn’t ride at the event last year after making his debut in 2015 and finishing on the Supersport podium but retusn to the golden triangle with his BSB team in full effect.

“It's cool to be going back to the North West 200 after a year off, I can't wait to ride my Be Wiser PBM Ducati in front of so many local fans on such an iconic track. There seems to be a lot of expectation from fans which is great but this is only my second year for me, and my first ever time there on a Superbike,” said the Carrickfergus rider.

“It's important to be realistic and we remember that and to respect the event. That said, as a kid I dreamt of winning a NW200 Superbike race and on Saturday I will be giving it my best shot.”
