MXGP: Lommel podium for Britain’s Anstie

Britain’s Max Anstie finished his Lommel MXGP weekend with a third place in the second moto in Belgium with a good start and consistent lap times.

The podium meant he finished seventh overall after a difficult time in the opening moto as he started his Rockster Husqvarna the wrong gear.

“It was great to finish off a challenging weekend with third in moto two. It shows the speed is there. In moto one I made a rookie mistake and started off the gate in first instead of second gear. I struggled to find my rhythm and had to settle for 14th,” said Anstie.

“I knew I could do a lot better in these tough conditions and I wanted to make it happen in moto two. I got a great start and immediately the feeling was a lot better. I managed to put in some consistent lap times to bring my bike home in third place. It’s good that we leave Belgium with a positive result so I can now take this momentum to the following GPs.”
