Eugene Laverty has made his debut for the works BMW WorldSBK team at Jerez, putting in his first shakedown laps under the tutelage of veteran crew chief Marcus Eschenbacher.

It's the first time Laverty has ridden the bike and he has carried out a handful of laps in order to start work on body positioning on the S1000RR.
