Claims by former MotoGP star Colin Edwards that Marc Marquez’ Jerez crash was caused by an electronics issue are 'untrue' according to HRC management.
Edwards postulated on Twitter that the 100+mph crash was down to a ‘hiccup’ in the traction control which resulted in a broken arm for the reigning champion.
“All I’m saying is this: When you have a support system that you basically put your life in its hands (electronics) your trust it more than your wife, in a sense,” Edwards wrote.
“Does the same thing lap after lap, not even a concern But that one time ur support system gets confused. I used to say ‘It timed out’. As in screw you, let’s start again. Casey Stoner in Indianapolis, same thing., support system had a different idea, got confused.”
HRC’s Hector Martin responded very briefly: “Not true. Anyway Marc also said it was his own mistake.”
