Alex Cudlin joins GBMoto for Brands Superstock 1000 meeting

World Endurance front runner Alex Cudlin will join the GBMoto National Superstock 1000 team for this weekend's Brands Hatch British Superbike round to replace fellow Aussie David Johnson, who has departed, for at least three rounds.

Cudlin already has a winning history with GBmoto, having previously ridden for them in the UK National Endurance series. He is the current 2010 World Endurance Cup champion and also won the 2011 Qatar International Road Racing Championship. Last year, the Australian also made his first Moto 2 World Championship appearance at Phillip Island.

"I'm really happy to be joining the GBMoto Racing team again. I worked with a lot of the crew back in 2007, so I feel like I am returning to familiar ground. I am also looking forward to racing in a UK National Championship, which I haven't done at this level before. I know it's not going to be easy, and I'll be up against some tough riders, but I hope to score some good results for myself and the GBmoto Racing team," he said.
