Bradley Ray will start the opening race of the weekend at Donington Park from pole position after setting his best lap time at the circuit.
At the opening round of the 2025 British Superbike Championship, it was Bradley Ray on pole position, an achievement that he has achieved once again at the second round of the season.
The 2022 British Superbike Champion claimed pole position by 0.028 seconds over his Yamaha rival, Kyle Ryde.
However, he will have the perfect starting point for the opening race of the weekend on Saturday afternoon.
"I did a solid lap at the start, then I came round on the second lap and saw a 1:26.9," Ray told TNT Sports after claiming pole position.
"I tried to get into a bit of a rhythm for two or three laps, I was trying not to stress too much, which is hard in qualifying when you are trying for a big lap time.
"I saw the 1:26.9 on my dash, and I knew that it was going to be my fastest ever lap around here. It was just about enough to claim pole position so I am really happy with that, but the most important thing is that we have a race this afternoon."
The Raceways Yamaha rider sits second in the 2025 British Superbike Championship after winning Race One and finishing third in Race Two at Oulton Park last time out.
Ray has been strong throughout Friday and Saturday at Donington Park, as he ended Day One at the circuit in second place after the opening two Practice sessions.
Ray will be joined on the front row by Kyle Ryde and his Championship rival Glenn Irwin. Directly behind on the grid will be the British Superbike Championship leader, Leon Haslam, as he will start from fourth on the Moto Rapido Ducati.
