Brands BSB: Easton ‘content’ after solid start

Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki’s Stuart Easton is ‘confident’ that he can do well in this year’s MCE British Superbike championship. He has already had a solid start to his campaign and currently sits fifth in the overall championship standings, after two top six finishes at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.

Easton is still finding his feet in the premier class after spending the last year dominating and eventually winning the Motorpoint British Supersport series and admits that he's still getting use to the bike and being race fit once again. He is happy with his machine and feels the Kawasaki is capable of winning races

“It is a solid start to my season and two top six finishes is great. In the second race my pace was good and strong but after 12 laps I was struggling after my right forearm tightened up and I think that is down to being the first race of the season, as I’m not fully tuned into the job at the moment,” said Easton, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

“I feel good, but my pace in race two didn’t show how good the bike is and I think I need to catch up with the bike a little bit. But I am content and I am looking forward to Oulton.”
