Brands BSB: Easton 'sore' after race-two crash

Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki man Stuart Easton is a bit sore after his high-speed get-off in the second MCE British Superbike race at Brands Hatch yesterday but didn't aggravate any of his old injuries.

Easton hit the ground at more than 100mph in the entry to Sheene Curve and tumbled across the gravel but was on his feet almost immediately, getting a lift back to the pits from team-mate and double race winner Shane Byrne.

"I was reasonably happy with race one after missing a couple of rounds and was running well in the second race when I hit a false neutral and crashed out. It was totally my fault and I'm feeling a bit sore but at least I didn't reinjure any of my old wounds and I'll be fighting fit for Cadwell in five weeks' time," said the Hawick rider.
